"What can they do to you?"Was the sign that was hanging over the door as I walked through into Mexico for the first time in almost 4 years. It was as though it was a prophetic declaration.
On April 22nd, my dad and our director of Mexico, Karlisa, touched down into Mexico. It was just a few weeks earlier that our attorney gave me the all clear to re-enter into this beautiful country.
I was welcomed with open arms, flowers, and of coarse a group of friends/family who welcomed me at one of our go-to taco shops and my all time favorite ice cream spot.
The week was spent getting caught up, and SEEING what we have been discussing, planning, vision casting and our team executing over the past 4 years. It was overwhelming to see yet again, how FAITHFUL God has been to not only our team but to me. The desires of my heart being manifested right before my eyes.
I was brought into government meetings my second day there where THEY THANKED US for the work we are doing. That our reputation proceeds us, and that they, THE GOVERNMENT, desire to parter with Marked.
I visited our partner homes, celebrated kids day with 2,000 of our village kids, snuggled babies, surprised one of my boys who was celebrating 6 months clean in rehab and dreamed some more with our team.
More dinners and visits with friends, and leaving with my heart exploding once again.
There are so many stories to share. Too many honestly for one simple note. But I wanted to take a moment to thank each and every one of you who have prayed and contended for us over these past 4 years. Who have believed in us, in Marked and who have chosen to partner despite our crazy story!
We love you. We are thankful for you.
May you know that the stories we share are not just our stories but your stories as well. For every person who has linked arms, you are impacting more lives than you will ever know. Cycles are being broken. And lives are being transformed.
It leaves me speechless.
